Hi future forever family! 🐾❤️ My name is Dolce (which translates to "sweet") — and my sweet personality, along with my caramel and white coat, fits that name perfectly! I'm a 3-year-old female Sheepadoodle weighing in at 45 pounds.
Everyday is a great day for me, and I'm always showing off a glowing, happy smile (teeth and all). Here's a list of things I love: playing with my 5 foster siblings, walking outside, cuddling my parents on the couch during TV time, and going for car rides. I even put my head on my mom's shoulder during the car to help backseat drive. Most of all, I LOVE my food and treat times! I put on quite a show and do the cutest spins when I know food is coming, or when my family returns home after being away. Though it might take me a minute to warm up, I'm cat-friendly and get along great with all the dogs and people I've met while in foster care. I sit like a pro for treats — no dog can plant a sit faster than me when I see one coming!
My mornings start with play and potty time with my pup siblings, then breakfast is served around 7:30–8:00. The rest of my day revolves around playtime and naps, rinse and repeat, until dinner around 5:00, followed by lots of snuggles for the rest of the evening.
I'm still working on a few things, but I'm making great progress on the following:
1. Containing my excitement when my people come home — I miss them so much while they're gone! I love to stand on my hind legs to make sure I'm seen, but I immediately get back on all four paws when I'm told to.
2. Containing my excitement on walks or out in public. I settle down quickly and love being petted by adults and kids alike.
3. Resisting a little counter surfing when unattended — I've taught my foster parents to make sure they don't leave any temptations out!
Adoption Requirements:
- I'd love to have another active pup sibling to run and do zoomies with
- No small children, because I get excited and might accidentally knock them down
- An active family would be great, since I have a lot of energy
- I need a backyard and would most likely not do well in an apartment
- I need a securely fenced-in yard to play and run
- I'm doggie-door trained but would also do well with a work-from-home parent or one with a flexible schedule
If you meet all of the requirements and live within 1,000 miles of Dallas/Fort Worth, TX, please apply at www.doodlerockrescue.org
