Dior‘s Story

Meet Dior. She is a precious little 8-month-old poodle, 7-pound, miniature poodle who came into rescue literally on death’s door. She needed a blood transfusion to stabilized her before the veterinarian could removed a penny that was slowly poisoning her (zinc toxicosis). Now Dior, aka Penny ?, Has recovered nicely from surgery and continues to steadily gain weight. She is very timid but when she feels safe, she is a sweet, snuggly, funny, happy puppy. Here’s what Dior has to say about herself:

Hi...Dior here. I am feeling so much better now and am having so much fun in my foster home but I’m ready to find the forever family to call my own! I definitely want another playful dog, probably on the smaller side, who will race around the yard or house with me and play “toys”. I love to play a game called fetch with a ball and if my family is busy, I can throw it for myself and my foster sister. I know that I have to go in my crate at bedtime or when my foster family leaves for a little while and that’s fine, though I’d rather not, especially at night but I do it and don’t complain. Sometimes I’ll even go in there all by myself when a noise scares me or maybe I just need a little quiet time. I know that I’m supposed potty outside and I can use a doggie door. I love people and I love to give kisses...lots of kisses! I love to snuggle on the couch! What I don’t love are loud noises and sudden movements; scary places like the vet and groomer; walking on a leash, especially in strange places which, right now is any place that’s not home but my foster mom keeps taking me out and I’m getting better. So, in a nutshell, I would love a family with a dog to play with and a yard to play in, where someone is home most of the time. A kid or two would be awesome but not little ones cuz I’m still a puppy and I can play kinda rough. My foster mom says that my new family needs to be “dog savvy” cuz I can be stubborn and could use some basic training but I’m really smart and learn fast! Are you my furever family? I hope so. ?❤️

Dior is fully vaccinated, HW-, sterilized and microchipped.
