My name is Dante, and I'm a 2-year-old, neutered male German Shorthaired Pointer/Poodle mix weighing 58 pounds. If you're looking for a goofy, affectionate, adventure-loving sidekick, I might just be your perfect match! I have a big personality, an even bigger heart, and plenty of energy to keep life exciting. I love being with my people and want to be involved in whatever you're doing—whether that's hiking a trail, working in the yard, or simply relaxing on the couch. While I enjoy staying active, I'm also a champion cuddler and will happily sit beside you, hold your hand, and soak up all the affection you're willing to give.

As a Pointer mix, my nose is always on the job! Exploring the world is one of my favorite things to do, and every walk feels like a new adventure. I'd thrive with an active family who enjoys spending time outdoors. Whether you're a runner, hiker, or someone who simply loves long walks, I'll be your enthusiastic partner every step of the way. After I've had a chance to burn off some energy, I'm more than happy to settle in for a cozy evening at home.

My days usually start bright and early with breakfast, playtime (I love toys!), and a chance to stretch my legs. I'm comfortable in my crate when needed, but nothing beats the excitement of seeing my people come home. In the evenings, I settle down easily in my crate and sleep soundly through the night.

Like any young dog, I still have a few things I'm working on. Sometimes I get so excited that I forget my manners and need reminders on commands like sit, stay, come, and down. I know "no" and respond well when given guidance, and I'm eager to continue learning with a patient family. I can be strong on leash and love to follow interesting scents, so continued training will help me become an even better walking companion. And if you happen to see me staring intently into the yard, just know I'm still convinced that one day I'll finally catch those pesky squirrels and birds!
