Hi, I’m Dante — a 2-year-old GSP/Poodle mix with long legs, a big heart, and enough energy to keep life exciting. At 50 pounds, I’m the perfect mix of adventure buddy and oversized cuddle companion. I love being close to my people and always want to know what you’re doing, where you’re going, and whether I can come too. If you sit down, there’s a very good chance I’ll try to hold your hand or curl up right beside you.

I’m curious about absolutely everything and love exploring the world through my nose. I’d make an amazing running or hiking partner because moving fast is basically my favorite hobby. I’m strong, enthusiastic on leash, and still learning that walks are not supposed to feel like a sled race. I’ll need an active person who can continue helping me with training, structure, and good habits.

At home, I’m equal parts lovable and goofy. I know “no,” mostly, but sometimes my excitement gets the best of me and I temporarily forget commands like sit, stay, and come. I also have a talent for sneaking onto cozy furniture when nobody’s looking, and I take my guard dog duties very seriously if anyone comes near the house.

I’m crate trained, sleep quietly through the night, and settle down nicely after I’ve burned off my energy for the day. I’m still working on house manners and marking since being recently neutered, so I currently wear a belly band while I keep improving. Let’s just say I like leaving little reminders that this is my house too.

I’m a sweet, affectionate, high-energy dog looking for a family who will embrace my goofy personality, continue my training, and include me in their adventures. If you love the outdoors, staying active, and having a loyal shadow by your side at all times, I might just be your perfect match.
