Hi There! My name is Cotton, and my foster mom says I'm the sweetest, cutest, softest fluff-ball ever. I am around 5 years old, and I'm everything wonderful about a Standard Poodle, in a 45lb package! My fur is as soft as a cloud and doesn't shed much at all! Did I mention I'm a girl. Sometimes people can't tell by my name. 🙂

I'm fairly independent, but love to get pets, especially on my belly! Sometimes I'm a little nervous about meeting new people, but I warm up quite fast. I've even met some little humans that seemed pretty nice and safe!

I LOVE playing fetch. I would probably play all day if you let me. But in this TX heat, we only get to play for short spurts in the morning and evening. I also enjoy playing with my other big dog friends when I get a chance. I haven't been around smaller dogs or cats, so I'm not sure if I like them... but would probably warm up in time. During the evening, I love relaxing on a cool tile floor, and then retreating to my crate to sleep next to my foster mom.

My foster mom often trusts me to roam throughout the house when she's away, but I'm still working on my fascination with trash. She keeps doors shut to minimize the temptation for me. My forever parents will also need to make sure and keep my eyes and ears clean and healthy. My eyes water a bit, and my ears still need some loving attention.

I am potty trained, crate trained, and walk quite well on a leash (when squirrels aren't provoking me). And I'm working on my basic commands like sit, leave it, and down.

I love making new friends, and I can't wait to meet you!

Here’s what I’m looking for:
- Large yard with a secure fence
- Someone who's willing to play fetch with me most days
- Children are okay, but family should be careful about rogue 'chewable' items like socks laying about
- Someone who is generous with the belly rubs and back scratches
