Hi, I’m Columbia — the firstborn of Matcha’s Magnificent Eleven and proudly one of the bigger girls in the bunch. I have a thick, plush black coat that gives me a soft, cuddly look and doesn’t seem to shed, though I’ll likely need some routine grooming as I grow. I carry myself with a calm, steady confidence and tend to give off big sister energy wherever I go.

I absolutely love people and settle right in for cuddles whenever I get the chance. I do have a playful side, especially when water is involved — my water bowl often turns into my personal splash pad, which has everyone convinced I may be a future water-loving pup. Once I’ve had my fun, I’m incredibly content to relax, choosing a cozy corner or a welcoming lap for a long, peaceful nap.

I explore the world with quiet curiosity and an easygoing nature. I’m affectionate without being demanding and happy to entertain myself, but I truly shine when I’m leaning into my people and soaking up attention. I’m gentle, observant, and naturally comforting to be around.

My days follow a steady routine with four meals at 8am, 12pm, 4pm, and 8pm. In between, I rotate through playtime, exploring, and long puppy naps to recharge. I spend lots of time with my littermates and foster family, which is helping me build strong social skills and confidence. Consistency makes me feel secure, and while my schedule will change as I grow, structure is working really well for me right now.

I’ve already started learning how to use pee pads with my litter, which is a great start, but I’ll still need all the usual puppy training in my forever home. That includes house training, crate training, and learning new routines. I’m eager to learn and respond best to gentle guidance, patience, and positive reinforcement. With time and consistency, I know I’ll grow into a wonderful, well-rounded companion.
