Hi there! I’m Cindy Lou, a 65-pound doodle girl with a gentle heart, soft eyes, and just the right mix of playful energy and calm companionship. I’m currently living in foster care, learning all about what it means to be part of a loving family, and I have to say — I’m really enjoying this chapter of my life.

My favorite place in the world is right next to my people. Whether you’re relaxing on the couch, working at a desk, or moving around the house, I’m happiest simply being near you and soaking up affection. Indoors I’m calm and well-mannered, but I do enjoy heading outside for fresh air and a little playtime too. I can get adorably excited when it’s time to play, though I tire out quickly and settle back in like the good girl I am. I’m very food-motivated (treats definitely win my heart), and I respond beautifully to patience, positive reinforcement, and consistency. I’m especially gentle with my foster family’s 18-month-old little human — I seem to understand I need to be extra careful — and I also enjoy keeping watch over the backyard in case there’s something that needs chasing.

I do best with a predictable routine. My mornings start around 7:00 with a potty break and a little playtime, followed by breakfast at 8:00 and dinner at 6:00. During the workweek, I’m an excellent office companion, happily relaxing nearby with a chew or toy and curling up next to my foster mom while she works, with a mid-day potty break to stretch my legs. Evenings and weekends are a comfortable mix of outdoor time and relaxing indoors with the family. At night, I wind down easily and settle into my crate near my people around 10:30.

I’m still polishing a few skills, like leash manners and polite kitchen behavior, and I’m continuing to build confidence when left alone. I learn quickly with gentle guidance and encouragement, and like many dogs, I’ll flourish with an adopter who understands that training is an ongoing journey. With structure, patience, and love, I’m going to grow into an incredible companion. What you’ll get in return is a loyal, affectionate girl who wants nothing more than to be your shadow, your cuddle buddy, and your very best friend.
