Charlie #7‘s Story

❤️Charlie is Available❤️

Please READ the bio and adoption requirements first to make sure you are a perfect fit BEFORE APPLYING.

Hi, I’m Charlie! I’m a 1-year-old Bernedoodle girl weighing 30 lbs, and I’m full of sweetness, silliness, and snuggles. I’m a playful, gentle soul who loves being close to my people—like, really close. Personal space? Never heard of her!

I’m currently in my healing era, making amazing progress, but I still need a special family who understands my unique needs. I can be a bit tinkle-prone when I get nervous or excited (yep—submissive and excitement urination are part of my charm). It’s not every day, but it’s part of who I am, and I need someone who will love me through it all, even if I never fully outgrow it.

My vibe? High-energy, happy-go-lucky, and all about playtime! I adore chew toys, puzzles, soft beds, and especially other dogs. I must have a young, energetic fur sibling in my forever home—someone who can match my zoomies and help guide me when my people aren’t around. Confident, patient dog buddies are my jam!

My ideal home is calm, predictable, and low on chaos. Loud noises and too many unfamiliar people can overwhelm me, especially inside the house. I feel safest when I can approach things at my own pace—and I bond strongest with women. I love both my foster parents, but I feel most secure with my foster mom (fewer accidents, too!). With men, I just need a little extra time and space.

A typical day for me looks like this:
☀️ 7 a.m. – Morning potty and kisses
🧸 9–10 a.m. – Breakfast, enrichment, and play
🐾 Midday – Walks, naps, more play, and keeping an eye on my foster siblings
🍽 6–7 p.m. – Dinner
💤 Evenings – More snuggles and bedtime cuddles

When my foster parents leave, I hang out safely in my crate (with my fur siblings nearby so I don’t feel alone). I still get into mischief sometimes, so it’s best to keep an eye on me!

I’m working hard on building confidence, especially with crates, loud noises, and new people. I can be a bit mouthy and jumpy when I get overexcited, so I need gentle, positive guidance and lots of reassurance. Oh—and I have separation anxiety, so being alone for long periods just isn’t for me. A work-from-home parent is a must.

👉 Please understand that I have unique needs. These requirements are not optional—they’re essential for my well-being. Only apply if you fully meet them. I’ve come a long way, and I need a forever family who can continue helping me grow.

If you're the patient, calm, and consistent type who sees beauty in progress (not perfection), then I think we’re meant to be. I’ll bring the laughs, the love, and a whole lot of cuddles—if you bring the understanding and support.

With love,
Charlie 🐾
