Champ‘s Story
Hello everyone, I’m Champ the Goldendoodle puppy! Not only do I have the most adorable face, I am a fighter and beat parvo at the ripe age of 13-weeks. My foster mom and dad say I’m an absolute love, most of the time anyway. I am obsessed with my 2 foster doodle brothers and have to be a part of the pack at all times… unless my foster mom picks me up and wants to snuggle – then I calm down and enjoy the snuggles. Often times I’ll lay on her chest and let her pet me for 10 minutes at a time…it’s the best massage. I have doubled in size over the last few weeks and love the great outdoors (also known as the backyard) to sprint with the other doodles. We like to play chase, tag, and run really fast..zoomies are the best when I’m trying to catch my older and (much) bigger foster brother! I have found my “leap” and have become quite fearless when I want something, I just jump off the couch or bed to go retrieve it. It’s taken me a couple weeks to gain the courage to jump, but I’m unstoppable when I want something! I am fully crate trained at night! In fact, once my foster parents say “let’s go to bed”, I jump off the bed and walk into my crate, get cozy with my favorite llama toy and don’t make a peep until my foster parents alarms go off the next morning – go me! It’s been nice to learn from my foster brothers to follow their lead and do as they do. Potty training, on the other hand, isn’t 100%...yet. I know to go potty outside and get lots and lots of praise when I successfully do, however, sometimes going potty on the dining room carpet just feels right, what can I say? I’ll get there no doubt because I’m a very smart boy. I’m even learning to walk towards my foster mom when she says “Come”. I always wag my tail when she gets excited and praises me for being a good boy. I know how to sit, working on my “shake” and “high-five”, and the best part about it… are the treats! They are soooo yummy and I’ll do anything for them. I also love ice, I hear my foster parents at the fridge and I stop what I’m doing to make a beeline for it. My foster mom thinks I make a cute crunching noise when I eat it…but she thinks everything I do is cute. If my foster brothers aren’t paying attention, I make it a mission to steal their ice cubes too..heehee I’m funny like that. I’m a little shy at first, but I have a BIG personality and a lot of energy and will make any home and family so happy… plus I’m the most adorable good boy in all of Dallas, Texas!
