Hi! I’m Carlos, a playful 3-year-old, 47-pound Doodle with soft copper curls, big brown eyes, and a heart that’s happiest when I’m close to my people. My foster family says I’m smart, affectionate, laid-back, and incredibly sweet. My grandma even gave me my own special nickname: “Snicker Doodle.” I think it suits me pretty well!

I’m a big fan of the good things in life: chasing balls, squeaking toys, chewing on bones, soaking up the sunshine, and collecting as many belly rubs as possible. I love neighborhood walks and car rides, especially when I can feel the wind in my face. But my absolute favorite thing is simply being with my family. Whether I’m snoozing beside you on the couch, supervising kitchen activities, or keeping watch over the house, I’m happiest knowing my people are nearby.

I’m also a creature of routine. My mornings start with a potty break and breakfast, followed by my very important backyard inspection. I check for anything that changed overnight, listen for the neighbor’s dog, and conduct a thorough search for acorns. Once my work is done, I’m ready for toys, naps, and quality family time. In the evenings, I love winding down with my favorite humans before settling in for the night—preferably after one last belly rub.

I already know “sit” and “lay,” and I even ring a bell on the back door when I need to go outside. I’m eager to keep learning, especially when praise and attention are involved. I also have a few quirks that keep my foster family laughing. Sometimes I sit criss-cross-applesauce, I’m fascinated by my reflection, and I’ve discovered that freshly shampooed hair smells absolutely wonderful.

I’m house-trained and stay in my crate when my family is away so I don’t find my own creative ways to stay entertained. I can be protective and alert, so unexpected noises or changes may earn a bark or growl from me while I figure out what’s happening. When I get extra excited during play, I can also become a little mouthy, but I redirect easily to a toy.

If you’re looking for a handsome, affectionate companion with a playful side, a watchful eye, and lots of love to give, I just might be your guy. I’m ready to find my forever people, settle in beside them, and love them with my whole heart.
