Hello! My name is Button but my foster parents call me Pookie, Mr. Pookie, or Pooks! I am a 60lb male dood around 10 months old (a giant clumsy baby!)

I am the absolute sweetest, most loving, happiest boy you will ever meet. It was very obvious how neglected I was when I was found on the streets with terrible mats in the little bit of hair I had left. I was in rough shape, but you’d never be able to tell with my big huge loving heart! I love every person and dog I have ever met and you will not meet a more kind soul than mine!
With all this love I have to give, I have an equal amount of energy as well. I am quite the rambunctious young lad and enjoy running around, doing my adorable little cat pounce when playing fetch. I love the dog park… doesn't get any better than that place! I can make friends anywhere and it's my absolute favorite thing to do! I can play for a very long time and then take a lovely nap.

My foster parents wake me up each morning around 7am and let me out of my kennel to go potty. I’d rather eat breakfast first because I am one hungry young man, but outside to potty then back inside for my second favorite pastime, food! When I first got here, I just gobbled down everything in sight, but I have since learned that there are loving people out there who care about me and feed me twice a day, every single day. As the cookie monster that I am, I have become very fond of this and I have definitely got this routine down! After potty and food I am ready to play play play!

Some fun facts about me:
I am an excellent car rider and sometimes I will go to work with my foster dad. I get to meet lots of people there and get lots of love.
I am also really good on the leash and with all this energy I have to burn, I will make a great companion for a runner or someone who loves the great outdoors! I do pull for the first bit but only because I have so much energy to burn.
If I have an active day, I will be ready for dinner and bedtime to end my day.

As such a young pup that’s been out on the streets, I am naturally still learning how to behave indoors and what is ok and not ok to play with and chew on. Mom and dad say socks and shoes are not ok, but I am hoping they will come around. Seems like I may have to be the one to work on this though. I am so smart, and learning so quickly and they are so proud of me!
Did I mention I have a ton of energy yet? I may need your help when I get so excited to see you and jump on you or walk all over you or run between your legs or just stand directly in front of you so you can't move until you acknowledge me! Again, just a big ol baby! AKA bowling ball!
I’m also still working on potty training but I am doing very very well with minimal accidents. My hair is growing back slowly but surely but I will need a good regular brushing to prevent any new mats!
