Hello! My name is Bubbles—I’m a 1 1/2 year old female poodle mix weighing 45 lbs.
I love belly-rubs, but I’m not a big fan of car rides. Be sure to take a towel with us… I get nervous and drool a bit! I can get a bit car sick after 45 minutes to an hour of being in the car, so it is best if I travel in a portable pet carrier.
I don’t mind being left alone, but I prefer for music or the tv to be left on—and the lights too! I like normal people noises, but sudden, loud sounds frighten me! When I am nervous or excited, I’ll do zoomies around the yard and roll in the grass—just remind me to shake it off before coming back inside.
I’m not very motivated by food or treats, but I do want to make you happy and respond to words of praise and a good chin rub! I have a Lamb Chop toy that I like to keep with me during downtime to keep me company.
As soon as I see you in the morning, I’ll want to greet you good morning with lots of excitement and energy. When I get super excited, I may gently jump up on you and make funny clicking noises with my mouth and teeth. I’ll head outside to do my business and then I’m ready for breakfast! I like to play and/or go on walks 2-3 times per day, then another meal when you have dinner. I’ll cuddle with you during movies or work time if you invite me to join you!
I love being in my crate, but sometimes have to be reminded to go in or come out when you want/need me to. If you’ll jiggle the crate gently, I’ll come out with my tale wagging. If you’ll direct me into the crate with a gentle nudge, I’ll head right in.
I’m just now learning to walk on a leash, but affirmative words and praise go a long way with me!
