Hey there! I’m Brooks — I’m a 1.5-year-old, 55-pound poodle mix with a brand-new haircut, a big heart, and a goofy, clumsy spirit. Life didn’t start easy for me—I was found at a construction site with matted fur—but now I’m thriving in foster care and learning just how wonderful it feels to be part of a family.

When I first arrived at my foster home, I wasn’t so sure about things — new people, new smells, new everything. But after a couple of days (and lots of treats), I decided this whole “being a dog” thing might be pretty great.

Mornings are my jam — I’m up around 7 a.m., ready to zoom around the yard and chase toys. Having a fenced yard is important for me because it gives me the freedom to run, play, and burn off my energy while staying safe. I am super smart, I know lots of commands, and have picked up potty training super quickly (treats really help). I do great in my crate during the day, but I sleep soundly on my dog bed near my people and feel much safer that way.

I’m what they call a Velcro pup because I love being with my people and I feel more confident when I have another dog buddy around (ideally 20–25 pounds or bigger). I’ve got some muscles but I’m still a big puppy at heart, so kids in my forever home should be at least eight and know how to be gentle with me. I’ve got a few quirks that make me extra lovable—like my goofy little “love nibbles,” barking at squirrels, and flopping over for belly rubs.

I’m not just a good boy—I’m the whole package. Loyal, silly, gentle, eager to learn, and full of love. Honestly? I’m a 10 out of 10 and ready to be someone’s once-in-a-lifetime best friend.

- Patience and commitment to continued training
- Secure, fenced-in yard
- Flexible schedule to support adjustment and routine
- No children under 8
