Hi, I’m Blitz, but my foster family lovingly calls me Blitzy! I’m a sweet, easygoing puppy with the perfect mix of playful energy and snuggly affection. I’m also a parvo survivor. I’ve spent part of my puppyhood recovering and getting stronger, and I’m happy to say I now have a clean bill of health and am ready to find my forever family!

I love snuggling, giving kisses, playing with stuffed animals, and pulling every single toy out of the toy box. I live with two Golden Retrievers and love playing with them, but I’m also perfectly content entertaining myself and could be happy as an only dog. I’m a pretty balanced puppy and don’t need endless exercise to be happy. I’m also not a big barker, so shared walls are just fine for me. I haven’t met cats yet, but my foster family thinks my laid back personality could do well with one after proper introductions.

My days usually start around 7:00 or 7:30 with a potty break and breakfast, followed by playtime with my foster sisters. Because I came into rescue underweight, I’ve been eating several smaller meals throughout the day to help me get back to a healthy weight. I’m definitely enthusiastic about food, so a slow feeder may be helpful! At night, I sleep wonderfully in my crate and settle back down easily after an early morning potty break.

I’m doing great with potty training and will sometimes ring the bell at the back door, although sometimes I just sit there quietly and wait for you to notice me. I already know sit and stay, and leash training is my next big adventure. Like any puppy, I still need supervision and guidance because occasionally a table leg or stray sock looks suspiciously like a toy, but I respond well to redirection and am learning every day.

I’m crate trained and don’t struggle with separation anxiety, but because I’m still a puppy, I need a family where I won’t regularly be left alone for more than 4 to 5 hours. A work from home parent or someone with a flexible schedule would be a great fit. More than anything, I’m looking for someone ready for all the fun, training, snuggles, and love that come with raising a puppy.
