Hello, world! My name is Blanco, but my foster family calls me Dede. I’m a 5-month-old, 28-pound Australian Bernedoodle with a beautiful silver-and-white coat, touches of black and tan, bright blue eyes, and, according to my foster mom, a ridiculously cute little nose. I can neither confirm nor deny this. I’m just a baby.

Speaking of my good looks, I’m still a puppy, which means my coat is changing as I grow. My colors and markings may continue to change right along with me, so consider my final look a little surprise we get to discover together!

I might look like I’m going to be a pretty big guy someday, but right now I’m still very much a puppy with a tender little heart. I can be shy when I first meet someone, so I may need a minute to decide if you’re trustworthy. But give me a little patience and kindness, and you’ll start to see the real Dede come out—and foster mom says he’s pretty special.

I’m also what the humans call a “Velcro pup.” Personally, I just think it makes sense that if you’re going somewhere, I should probably go too. Kitchen? Coming. Couch? Absolutely. Different room for no apparent reason? I’ll accompany you. I’m happiest when I know my people are nearby.

I love squeaky toys, playing inside, and having a good puppy romp. Once I’ve gotten my wiggles out, though, I’m a pretty chill little guy who’s perfectly content just hanging out with my people.

Since I’m only five months old, I’m still learning how this whole “being a dog” thing works. I’m practicing walking nicely on a leash, learning basic commands, and building confidence spending a little time on my own. My crate and I are currently in negotiations. I have some concerns. But I’m learning every day, and my foster family is really proud of me.

My dream home would be calm, loving, and patient, with people who want me to truly be part of the family. I’d especially love someone who’s around a lot while I continue building my confidence. A secure yard where I can explore, play, and eventually unleash some impressive big-boy zoomies would be pretty wonderful too.

I’m sweet, gentle, curious, playful, and full of love just waiting to come out. Give me patience, consistency, and a safe place to land, and I’ll give you something even better: my trust.

And once you have that, I have a feeling you’ll have my whole heart, too.
