Hello, my name is Beverly, but my people call me Bea! I am a female black Standard Poodle. I am just over a year old and I weigh about 50 lbs.

I am a sweet gal that loves playing with other dogs. It’s my most favorite pastime. I am not really sure of humans yet but I will warm up to them after I know I can trust them. I love to play with toys especially tug of war with my fur siblings. I am a creature of habit and will need a routine to help me settle my anxiety. If you can give me all the time I need to get comfortable it will be worth it. I really want people to love but I have to make sure they trustworthy.

I sleep in a crate and often retreat to it when I need my space. I really love my crate! When I wake up, we make sure everyone goes potty. Then we all eat breakfast. Afterwards, I spend most of my morning playing with my other doodle friends. In the afternoon we all take much needed naps and wait for the human kids to get home. The 10yr old boy likes to run back and forth in the backyard and we all chase him down. It’s such fun! Dinner is served at about 7pm and then we try to go for a walk. I’m still trying to figure out walks because I easily become overstimulated and scared. So we try to go as a pack so that my fur siblings can let me know everything is ok.

I am still learning that humans are good, kind, and that they love us, but I’m still not sure. I try to let them know I really WANT to love them, but it’s so scary! I am working on allowing the humans to pet me.
