My name is Bentley, and I’m a 5-year-old, 55-pound Goldendoodle with a soft coat, a soft heart, and a very enthusiastic wag.

I’m the kind of dog who believes every day should start with a good stretch, a happy tail thump, and someone saying, “Good morning, buddy.” I’m goofy in all the best ways—sometimes my paws get ahead of my brain, and sometimes my stuffed lamb toy ends up in places I definitely don’t remember putting it. But I promise I’ll make you laugh and keep you company through every moment, big or small.

I adore people and kids, and I enjoy making new dog friends when introductions are calm, especially with sweet, easygoing female dogs. I’m still deciding how I feel about living with another male dog, mostly because I love having the spotlight to myself. I’m happiest when I get to be your main man: the dog you call first, the dog you pet longest, and the dog who gets the last bedtime goodnight.

Routine makes me feel safe, so I love starting the day with a potty break, a walk where I can sniff the morning air, and a good game of fetch—bonus points if you throw my lamb. After that, I’m perfectly content to curl up nearby while you work or relax. My crate is my cozy retreat, and I settle in easily when it’s time for bed or time for you to head out. Give me structure, a little patience, and some treats, and I’ll give you my whole heart.

I’m still learning how to keep my cool on walks. If a squirrel blinks too loudly, I notice. If a bird flaps its wings, I definitely notice. I get excited and pull sometimes, but I’m working hard on slowing down and listening. I don’t do well with cats, so a cat-free home is best for me.

What I want more than anything is a home where I can be loved, included, and allowed to be the cheerful, slightly silly, always loyal dog I am. If you’re looking for a best friend who will greet you like you hung the moon, I’m right here waiting.
