Howdy! I’m Bent Tree, a playful 2-year-old Doodle mix weighing 46 pounds, and I’m ready to find my forever family! My foster family says I’m smart, affectionate, goofy, and always happy. With my soft, curly coat, warm brown eyes, and constant smile, I’m as cuddly as I am handsome.

My story didn’t start out easy. I came from a hoarding situation where I didn’t have the kind of care, comfort, and security every dog deserves. I’m learning all about the good life now, including having a cozy home, plenty of yummy food, toys of my own, and people who love me. I’m so grateful for this second chance and am discovering just how wonderful being a spoiled family dog can be.

I’m feeling fantastic after recovering from heart surgery and have been loving every minute of life. My favorite things include chasing balls, squeaky toys, watching the squirrels in the backyard, and soaking up belly rubs whenever I can. I also enjoy leisurely walks where I can stop and sniff all the interesting smells along the way. More than anything, though, I just want to be with my people. I happily follow my foster mom from room to room, and if she sits down, you can bet I’ll be climbing into her lap for cuddles and a few gentle ear kisses.

My mornings start around 6:30 because breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. After everything I’ve been through, I still get very excited about food and can’t believe how lucky I am to have regular meals and yummy treats. Even with a slow feeder, I’m still working on slowing down because eating is serious business! After breakfast, I head outside for a potty break, a few zoomies, and my daily squirrel patrol before coming back inside to play or relax with my family. I enjoy an afternoon nap after lunch, dinner at 6:00, and quiet evenings spent snuggled up with my favorite people before bedtime.

I’m a smart boy who already knows commands like “sit” and I’m eager to keep learning. I stay quietly in my crate when my family is away, although I definitely miss them while they’re gone. I just love being included and being part of whatever my people are doing.

Like any young doodle, I’m still polishing a few manners. If shoes are left on the floor, I might decide they belong in my toy collection, and when I get really excited during playtime, I can get a little mouthy. My foster family has been helping me learn better ways to channel my excitement, and I’m making wonderful progress with consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement.

I’ve come such a long way, and I’m ready to continue my journey with a family who will show me that love, comfort, and happiness are here to stay. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will make you laugh, keep you company wherever you go, and appreciate every little thing life has to offer, I just might be the perfect match.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
- Only Dog
- Kids ages 8 + (Haven't been around a ton of kids!)
- Fenced yard
- No apartments or homes with shared walls
- Someone who works from home or is home most of the day
- A family willing to continue my training with patience and love
