Hi, I’m Benmont—but you can call me Benny. I’m a 15-pound poodle mix with a soft coat, a warm heart, and a very clear understanding of what I deserve in life: your full attention. I’m somewhere between four and six years old, which I think is the perfect age—old enough to have manners, young enough to keep things fun. I was found as a stray, but I’ve decided that chapter is behind me, and I’m ready to be someone’s whole world.

I’m what they call a “velcro dog,” which is just a fancy way of saying if you go somewhere, I go too. I love following my humans from room to room, curling up in laps, and soaking in every bit of affection I can get. Praise? Yes, please. Pets? Don’t stop. I’m also a big fan of toys—I like to carry them around proudly like little prizes, just in case you weren’t already impressed with me.

I adore people of all sizes, including kids, and I greet new friends like I’ve known them forever. Other dogs out in the world? I can be polite. But in my home? I prefer to be your one and only. Sharing you just isn’t something I’m interested in—I’ve got big love to give, and I want it to go both ways.

I’m a well-mannered gentleman in most ways. I’m potty trained, I know how to use a doggy door, and I keep my chewing limited to my toys (your shoes are safe with me). I enjoy my daily walks and playtime, and I walk pretty nicely on leash, with just a little enthusiasm here and there. At night, I currently sleep in the living area, but if you invited me into your bed… I wouldn’t say no.

Now, I’ll be honest—when you leave, I do have some feelings about it. I might voice my opinion for a bit before settling down, because being apart from you seems unnecessary. I’m also not a fan of crates and will happily tell you so. And I’m still working on keeping all my leg lifts strictly outdoors—it’s a work in progress, but I’m trying.

• Flexible Schedule
• Patience for training and managing marking behaviors
