Hi there! I’m Amelia—my foster fam calls me Millie, short for Millie Bobby Grey. I’m a 1-year-old, 36-pound poodle mix with a soft coat, a playful soul, and a heart full of love. Life’s been a little wild up ‘til now, but I’m finally learning what it means to be part of a family—and I love it. I live with a foster mom, a sweet 8-year-old human, grandma, a playful poodle, and two curious cats. I fit right in and love being part of the action!

I’m affectionate, social, and always curious—new things excite me! I’m still learning the ropes (toys, belly rubs, and walks are all still kind of magical to me), but I’m smart and food-motivated, which makes training a breeze. I love playing with my foster sister, chasing balls, chewing toys, and getting brushed after a warm bath (it knocks me right out!). I can get a little nervous in unfamiliar situations and may growl to say “I need a minute,” but I warm up quickly with patience. I also have some herding instincts—ankles beware during playtime!

My days start around 6 a.m. with potty time and school drop-off, followed by a walk (my fave). I used to be scared of leashes, but now I sit pretty to get dressed. The rest of the day is filled with toy time, naps, shadowing my foster mom, and practicing tricks. I sleep in my crate at night (in the bedroom, please!) and eat two meals a day, though I like to graze.

I’m still working on a few things like stairs, not pulling on walks, and being okay when left alone. But with the right family and continued love and structure, I know I’ll keep blossoming. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and playful pup ready to grow with you, I might just be your girl!
