Marty‘s Story

Hi, I’m Marty! My foster family calls me Marty Muffin. I’m a 6-month-old, 36-pound, auburn Goldendoodle and I am looking for my forever home.

I am a good boy who enjoys the simpler things in life. Like, a good belly rub, a toy ball, and short walk around the block is enough to keep me happy. The leash is new to me, but I’d say I’m acing it! My very favorite thing in the world is a cold bowl of water!! The day I discovered the ice cube was the best day of my life.

I’m gentle in manner and am good with anyone, young to old. Kids? No problem. Other dogs? The more the merrier! I’ve been around other pups my whole life, but I do really well as the only dog in the house, too! I am often called “the sweetest dog in the world” and will cuddle until we both fall asleep if you let me.

I’m a pacer and a plopper which is hilarious when I’m trying to get comfy. I like being where the people are; but I do well in my kennel. Keep in mind I was in one for the majority of my life. But my foster family trusts me enough to roam the house for short periods of time alone. And they gave in and let me sleep with them! My foster mom secretly loves waking up to me laying next to her on a pillow like a human ?. But I also don’t mind sleeping on the bedroom floor. I do have dog beds, but I prefer the coolness of the wood floor! Have you seen my sleeping pictures? Pretty silly!!

I love a lot of love and will be so grateful for it. Potty trained? I’ve got it down, but please watch me still and remind me to stay focused. I just love being outside and get distracted easily. Like I said, I love water. So we spend a lot of time outside! I don’t like being outside alone. So come play!
Basic commands? Give me a good treat and I’ll learn on the 3rd try. I love a good treat and am so gentle taking them. But I do get excited when I hear the treat jar and will put my paws on the counter. My foster family tells me no, but I just can’t seem to help it. I get so excited!

I’m a smart guy with the sweetest eyes and my breath smells like gingersnaps. I am ready to love my new family for the rest of my life.

Marty is fully vaccinated, HW-, sterilized and microchipped.
