Hi! My name is Junie Bug, but my foster family calls me Millie. I’m an 8-pound, approximately 1-year-old doodle mix with a tiny body, a big personality, and an even bigger love for my people.

If you’re looking for a little shadow, I might be your girl. I’m incredibly loving and happiest when I’m right beside you, preferably sleeping on you, touching you, or following you from room to room. I bond closely with my people and even prefer to eat when someone is nearby. I tend to warm up to women more quickly, while men may need to give me a little extra time to feel comfortable. Once I know you’re safe, though, I have so much love to give.

I’m generally a lower-energy girl who loves a good nap and plenty of snuggles, but I also have a playful side! I enjoy running around, playing, and going for walks to get my wiggles out. I’ve been doing great on leash and would love to keep enjoying walks and adventures with my new family.

I’m still working on potty and crate training. I’m making progress with a consistent routine, but I do still have accidents and may have been potty-pad trained in my previous home. The crate isn’t my favorite place yet, and I’ll usually cry for a while before settling down. At night, I’m happiest sleeping in bed with my people, although I can settle in my crate when someone is nearby.

I’m definitely a Velcro pup and love being close to my people. I’m still learning to feel comfortable when left alone, so someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule would be ideal. I’ll need a patient family who can continue helping me build confidence and independence at my own pace.

I’m great with other dogs and enjoy having canine friends around. I’d be happy with a younger dog who wants to play or an older dog who prefers to hang out and cuddle. Because I’m only 8 pounds and love following closely at people’s feet, I’m looking for a home with children 6 and older who can safely interact with a tiny pup like me. My experience with cats is unknown.

I may still be learning some of the basics, but I’m an incredibly sweet, affectionate little girl with so much love to give. More than anything, I want to feel safe, loved, and close to my people. If you have room in your life for an 8-pound best friend who plans to adore you wherever you go, I might just be your Junie Bug.
