Please READ the bio and adoption requirements first to make sure you are a perfect fit BEFORE APPLYING.
Hi, I’m Gio! I’m a 9-month-old puppy with a huge personality, a joyful little bunny hop, and absolutely no idea that I’m any different—or how small I really am. I tackle every day with confidence, curiosity, and enough enthusiasm for a dog three times my size. Between my big expressive eyes, adorable underbite, and lovable charm, I have a way of winning hearts wherever I go.
I’m equal parts adventurer and cuddle bug. I love racing around the yard, soaking up the sunshine, and playing with toys I can proudly shake around. Benebones are my favorite, and if you leave a shoe or sock unattended, well… I may consider it a gift. When the fun is over, I’m happiest curled up in your lap, stretched across your legs, or simply following you from room to room. I thrive on being close to my people and love feeling included in whatever the day brings.
I also take my role as household protector very seriously. I may be small, but I’m convinced I’m in charge of security and like to keep an eye on everything happening outside. Inside the home, I’m calm, affectionate, and happiest when I’m part of the action. I’m crate trained, though I’ll happily let you know I’d rather be spending time with you than watching from the sidelines.
Because of a previous pelvic injury, I have limited control of my sphincter muscles and may dribble urine when I get very excited. The good news is that belly bands and diapers work wonderfully for me and make this easy to manage. My unique mobility doesn't cause me pain and certainly doesn't slow me down—I can still run, play, explore, and enjoy life like any other happy puppy. I’m looking for a family that will embrace my differences and continue the simple care that helps me thrive.
My ideal home is one where I can be a true member of the family. I’d love a fenced yard to safely burn off my puppy energy, a family with a flexible or work-from-home schedule, and experienced owners who can provide consistent boundaries and guidance as I grow. Most importantly, I’m looking for a family that will be patient with my medical needs, include me in their daily lives, and appreciate all the personality, love, and laughter I bring to the table.
I don’t know I’m little, and I don’t know I’m different. I just know I have a lot of love to give, and I can’t wait to find the family that will love me right back.
