Hi! My name is Miso. I’m a 5-month-old Shih Tzu boy weighing just 8.2 pounds—a tiny guy with a big heart, ready to find a forever family to love with everything I’ve got.

I’m a mellow, easygoing pup who loves people of all ages, including kids. I enjoy following my foster mom around the house and being close to her throughout the day. Like most Shih Tzus, I’m affectionate, playful, and happiest when I’m near my humans. Whether it’s cuddle time on the couch or just sitting at your feet while you work, I’m always ready to be your little shadow.

Honestly, I exist to give love and be loved in return—I’m pure love in a small, furry package. I might not be your jogging buddy, but if you're looking for a sweet, loyal, and gentle companion to bring comfort and joy to your everyday life, I'm your guy.

My name, Miso, has a special meaning, too.
In Korean, 미소 means “smile,” and that’s exactly what I bring to everyone I meet.
In Japanese, miso refers to the traditional fermented soybean paste—comforting and full of character. Don’t worry, though—I’m a lot sweeter than soup!

My days usually start with waking up my foster mom and her kids before we all head outside for potty time. I spend the day nearby while mom works, and I love being part of the routine—especially when it’s time to pick up the kids from school. I fit right into the rhythm of family life and adjust easily to whatever the day brings.

I’m still learning the ropes when it comes to potty training. I do pretty well if I’m kept on a schedule and taken out regularly, but I’m not perfect yet and still have the occasional accident. I’m crate trained, know how to sit, and haven’t quite learned how to walk on a leash yet—but with time, patience, and consistency, I’m excited to keep learning and growing.
