Hi there, I’m August—but my friends call me Auggie. I’m a 5-month-old doodle mix with a soft, wavy coat, a big goofy smile, and a heart that just wants to love and be loved. At about 40 pounds, I’m the perfect size for playtime, snuggles, and everything in between.

I’m a happy, curious guy who loves being part of the action. Whether I’m romping around the yard, making new dog friends, or going on a morning walk, my tail is always wagging. I live for belly rubs, kisses, and cozy evenings with my people. I do really well with older kids—I just get so excited sometimes that little ones might get bowled over by my enthusiasm.

I sleep soundly on my bed at night (right next to my foster family) and am getting the hang of potty training with regular breaks. I’ve already learned “sit” and “down,” and I walk nicely on leash—but I’m still a puppy, so I’ll need a little help continuing to learn my manners. I’m smart, eager to please, and full of potential. I do have a sweet little habit of nibbling when I’m happy—it’s just my way of saying “I love you.”

Like many doodles, I do best on a special diet, and I thrive with structure, routine, and an active home where I can play, learn, and be part of the family fun. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and playful companion, I might just be your guy.

- Patience for ongoing training and structure
