Hi, I’m Dash — a 1-year-old, 56lb smooth-coated golden doodle mix with a serious case of FOMO! I’m the kind of dog who likes to be part of everything, whether it’s a morning walk, a quiet work-from-home day, or just moving from one room to the next. I’m a certified cuddler, emotional support sidekick, and a big fan of ear rubs. I love playing and wrestling with my foster siblings. I’m learning polite manners, leash skills, and new commands (I’ll do just about anything for a treat).

I’m playful and gentle with other dogs but can be a little shy when it comes to loud noises or unfamiliar places. I feel safest when I’m close to my people, preferably with a cozy spot nearby to nap or keep an eye on the action. I’m getting the hang of house training and I’m also a whiz at puzzle toys — I love using my brain. I sleep great in my crate every night — I’m a quiet, solid sleeper and usually crash on my back with all four legs in the air. While I’m still working on feeling comfortable being crated alone, I settle in easily and sleep soundly when my people are nearby.

Right now, I’m starting my recovery from heartworm treatment, so I need a calm, low-key lifestyle while I heal. I’m looking for a loving home with a flexible-schedule or remote-working human who understands that I’m still learning the ropes and could use a little extra patience and TLC. If you’re looking for a soft-hearted, loyal companion with a wagging tail and a whole lot of love to give — I might just be your guy.
