Hi there, I’m Helio — a one-year-old male, Sheepadoodle with a soft coat, a playful heart, and a loyal soul just waiting to find my person. I’ve got energy to burn and love to give, and I’m happiest when I’m running free in the yard or playing a good game of catch. But when the excitement winds down, I love to be near my people.

I’m gentle by nature and deeply loyal to the humans I trust. New people make me a little shy at first, but give me a little time and patience, and I’ll be your biggest fan. Because I bond so closely with my people, I do best in a home where someone is around most of the day — working from home or with a flexible schedule. I’m still learning, and I thrive with a schedule, along with someone who understands that training takes time, especially for a smart but sensitive guy like me.

A big, secure fenced yard is a must — I love to run, explore, and get my zoomies out! I’d be happiest in a home with respectful older kids and would love to have a doggy sibling or regular playdates with other pups.

My days are a nice mix of activity and rest. I usually start the morning around 6:30–7 AM with a quick potty break and breakfast, followed by a walk I know by heart. During the day, I nap nearby while my foster works, enjoy some toy time midday, and get excited for dinner around 5 PM (I’ll remind you if you're late!). Evenings are for more outside time or relaxing with the family.

I’m currently working on mastering my basic commands, greeting people politely (without jumping!), and getting in the car like a pro. I’m a quick learner and always eager to please.

Dogs like me don’t come with all the answers — but we come with endless potential. If you’re an experienced dog owner who understands that love sometimes looks like quiet patience and small wins, I promise you: the bond we build will be like nothing else. Giving a dog like me a chance means watching a shy soul slowly unfold, and knowing you made that happen. It means being someone’s first real sense of safety and trust. It means being a hero — not in a big, flashy way, but in the everyday moments that matter most.
