Hi, I’m Viva—a 1-year-old cream-colored Goldendoodle with soft, fluffy curls and a gentle soul that just wants to feel safe and loved. I weigh about 35 pounds, and while I’m still learning how to be brave in this big, new world, I’m discovering that people can be kind and that life inside a cozy home is pretty wonderful.
Every day, I’m making small steps forward. My foster sister tries to get me to play, and while I’m still figuring it out, her happy energy makes me curious. When I need a little “me time,” I like to slip outside for some sunshine—it helps me feel grounded. I’ve even grown to love my crate; it’s warm, safe, and all mine.
I love other dogs! I follow my foster dog sibling’s lead in everything. I’m still learning how to play, so I prefer gentle interactions. We spend a lot of time just relaxing together during the day. I definitely need another dog in the home to help me feel safe and confident!
I recently found my voice! I may not always know what I’m barking about, but I want to keep everyone safe, just in case. Slow mornings are my favorite—I like to stretch, snooze, and ease into the day while my foster mom gets ready. She’s so thoughtful, even putting my food bowl in my favorite spot so I feel safe enough to eat.
Most of my day is spent curled up in her office, quietly keeping her company like the loyal little assistant I’m becoming. In the afternoons, we enjoy sunshine and garden adventures—I even have a secret hiding spot under the flowers, though she always finds me. By 9 p.m., I’m ready for bed, snuggled up close, drifting off to soft words and gentle pets.
I still get nervous sometimes—fast movements, sudden sounds, or someone approaching too quickly can startle me—but I’m getting braver with each sunrise. My foster mom says I don’t have a single mean bone in my body, and I believe her. I’m just a quiet, tender-hearted little girl learning what it means to be safe, loved… and to truly belong.
Dogs like me don’t come with all the answers—but we come with endless potential. If you’re an experienced dog owner who understands that love sometimes looks like quiet patience and small wins, the bond we build will be like nothing else. Giving a dog like me a chance means watching a shy soul slowly unfold, knowing you made that happen. It means being someone’s first real sense of safety and trust. It means being a hero—not in a big, flashy way, but in the everyday moments that matter most.
