Please READ the bio and adoption requirements first to make sure you are a perfect fit BEFORE APPLYING.

My name is Saffira, and I’m a 1-year-old doodle with soft curls, gentle eyes, and the most resilient little heart you’ll ever meet. I weigh about 35 pounds, and I’ve already come such a long way!

When I first arrived at my foster home, I was so scared that I wouldn’t let anyone near me. But love has this incredible way of mending broken hearts, and with patience and kindness, I’ve slowly begun to trust. Now, I wake up each day with my tail wagging, ready to play! My favorite thing is running around the backyard and chasing after my foster dog brother — he makes every day more fun.

I’m still learning that people can be kind, so strangers make me a little nervous. I also don’t like being alone, but I feel much calmer when another dog is nearby. Having a canine friend in my forever home would mean the world to me.

Every morning, I start the day with a happy little dance. I know commands like “ready,” “place,” and “crate,” and I wait patiently at the door before heading out to the yard. I’m pretty clever too — I once figured out how to escape my crate (though I promise I’m usually on my best behavior!).

I’m looking for a calm, patient household that understands the most precious bonds are built on trust and time. I’d love a home with a fenced yard where I can safely run and play, and a dog sibling to help me feel confident and keep me company. Dogs like me don’t come with all the answers — but we come with endless potential. If you’re an experienced dog owner who understands that love sometimes looks like quiet patience and small wins, I promise you: the bond we build will be like nothing else. A family with a flexible schedule or someone who works from home would be perfect, so I’m not alone too long while I’m still learning. Giving a dog like me a chance means watching a shy soul slowly unfold, knowing you made that happen, and being my first real sense of safety and trust. It means being a hero — not in a big, flashy way, but in the everyday moments that matter most.
