Sawgrass‘s Story

Hi there, I’m Sawgrass—a 6-month-old Doodle mix with the fluff of a teddy bear and the heart of a goofball. At just 20 pounds, I’m still growing into my paws, but I’ve already mastered the art of playtime! Toys are my absolute favorite—balls, squeaky plushies, or even a good old-fashioned stick—I’m not picky. I can be a little shy when we first meet, but give me a moment and you’ll see my silly side tumble out like a puppy tornado. Think “bowling ball in a china shop,” but with a wagging tail and a whole lot of love.

I’m still learning the ropes of life, but I’ve figured out some important stuff—like how amazing food is (seriously, it’s the best), how cozy my crate is (it's my little den), and how great it feels to be part of a family. I’m getting braver every day, especially with the help of my foster siblings who are showing me the ropes. I follow them around, take notes, and then zoom off to my next adventure. My days are filled with playing, napping, and cuddling—pretty much the perfect puppy life. I’m ready to find my forever people… could that be you?

I’m still working on potty training and learning all the good puppy manners—hey, I’m only six months old, after all! I don’t know all the house rules just yet, but I’m a smart cookie and eager to please. What I really need is a patient, loving family who understands that I’m still figuring out this whole “being a dog” thing. With consistency, gentle guidance, and lots of love, I know I’ll grow into the very best boy. I’ve got the heart, the fluff, and the goofy spirit—now I just need someone to help me shine.
