My name is Heron, but my foster parents thought “Stanley” fit my goofy personality better—so now I go by that (and a bunch of nicknames like Stanee and Stan-wee!). I’m a two-year-old, 48-pound bundle of sweetness and silliness!

I’m a gentle and shy pup with a heart full of love. I might be a little timid at first, but once I feel safe, my sweet and affectionate nature starts to shine & I’m happy to give kisses! I really come alive when I’m around other dogs—I love to play and would do best in a home with a playful canine friend. I prefer quiet, peaceful environments because loud or overwhelming places can make me nervous. I enjoy both playful moments and calm pets, so I’m the perfect mix of fun and affection. With patience and a lot of love, I’ll blossom into the loyal best friend you’ve been looking for.

I wake up bright and early at 6:30 a.m., ready to zoom around the yard with my foster siblings! After stretching my legs, I eat breakfast and then settle in for some indoor playtime and cozy naps. In the afternoon, I love more playtime outside, followed by a tasty dinner at 6 p.m. Afterward, I enjoy a relaxing evening walk to wind down. By 9:30 p.m., I’m ready to curl up and snooze through the night in my crate.

I'm still learning to feel comfortable with unexpected noises, whether inside or out on walks—they can startle me sometimes. I'm also working on improving my leash skills; I can be a bit unpredictable, as I am still building up my confidence. Sometimes I like to pull, but I’m learning to mind my manners & walk in stride each time I walk!
