Hi, I’m Myra, and I’m a four year old fluffy love bug who believes cuddling is a full time job. Being close to my person is my absolute favorite thing, whether that means curling up for belly rubs, leaning in for extra pets, or simply staying nearby while you go about your day. I have a gentle, affectionate heart, and when I love you, I love you with my whole soul.

I’m a dream on the leash and walk calmly right by your side, making daily strolls something to look forward to. I thrive on routine and settle easily into home life with meals, potty breaks, and relaxing walks. I haven’t needed a crate in my foster home, but I’m adaptable and would be just fine learning one if my forever family prefers it.

Because I bond so deeply with my people, I like having all the attention to myself. I’d be happiest as the only dog in the home where I don’t have to share affection I’ve waited so patiently for. I enjoy a calm environment and a flexible schedule, and since I like to “chat” when I’m excited for love, a home without shared walls would be best for me.

I do well with potty training when I have consistency and a predictable routine, and I continue to improve every day. What matters most to me is finding someone who wants a loyal shadow, a steady companion, and a dog who will remind them every day how special they are.

I do want you to know something important about me. I’ve been diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. With the right medications and regular veterinary care, my condition is well managed, and I feel comfortable and happy. I take my meds like a champ and still enjoy life just as much as any other affectionate pup. My forever family will simply need to stay committed to my treatment plan and help me maintain a healthy weight.

If you’re looking for a devoted, gentle girl who will give you endless love and companionship, I’m ready to spend my forever showing you just how big a dog’s heart can be. And if you’re not quite ready to adopt but feel a connection, I’d love to meet you too. I’m currently looking for a foster home in the DFW metro area, and a foster to adopt option is available for the right match. Sometimes forever starts with fostering, and I just might be the one you’ve been waiting for.

- Calm, low-traffic household
- Work from Home Parent/Flexible Schedule
- Commitment to continuing prescribed treatment plan and veterinary care to manage pulmonary hypertension
- Foster-to-Adopt Option available
