Hi there, I’m Chris — a 9-month-old, 20-pound poodle mix with a soft heart and a fluffier coat! I’m a gentle soul who’s still learning that the world isn’t so scary. I prefer ladies (sorry fellas!) and need a little time to warm up, but once I do, I’m loyal, loving, and will follow you around like your fuzzy shadow. I’m calm, quiet, and happiest when I’m snuggled up with my foster mom or playing in the yard with a small to medium pup buddy. Loud noises and new people can spook me, so I retreat to my crate — my cozy safe place. Treats, cuddles, and gentle voices are the way to my heart.

I wake up with my foster mom (early on weekdays, a little later on weekends) and start my day with a quick backyard potty break. I love going along for the school drop-off run, then it’s breakfast time and work-from-home snuggles. In the afternoons, I enjoy backyard playtime followed by a nap — I’m a big fan of resting in cozy corners. Evenings are the best: more play, a walk in the park, dinner, and winding down in my crate for the night. I’m a peaceful little guy with a very sweet routine.

I’m still working on perfecting my potty training — I’m getting better every day but could use a little patience. I’m also working on my confidence around new people and in new situations. Socialization is a big learning curve for me, but I’m trying hard and making small strides. With the right family and a calm environment, I know I’ll blossom into a confident, loving companion.
