Hi, I’m Lacey—but my foster parents call me Tippi because of the cute white tip on my tail and the way I tiptoe around! I’m a 9-month-old, 14-pound poodle mix, probably with some Jack Russell Terrier in me. I’m a social butterfly and love everyone I meet, greeting them with a wagging tail and a happy heart. My favorite playmate is my 70-pound doodle foster sister—we wrestle, run, and chase until we’re completely worn out! But don’t let my playful side fool you—I’m also an expert snuggler. I love curling up in your lap, napping in your bed, and soaking up all the love. I adore kids and will happily run and play with them, plus I’m super patient!
My day starts around 6 or 7 AM when my humans let me out of my crate—I sleep through the night but might whine for a few minutes when first going in. After a quick potty break (and making sure I don’t miss any action inside), I have breakfast—1/2 cup of food. Throughout the day, I get plenty of potty breaks and playtime, then have dinner around 5 PM. By bedtime at 10 PM, I’m ready to snooze again!
I may be sweet, but I still have some manners to learn! If you leave food unattended, I might just help myself—I can’t resist a tasty snack. I’m also working on my basic obedience skills, so I need a family who will help me learn commands and keep me on my best behavior. But with a little patience (and some treats as motivation), I’ll be the perfect pup in no time!
