Please READ the bio and adoption requirements first to make sure you are a perfect fit BEFORE APPLYING.

Hi, I’m Hans! I’m a 6-month-old, 45-pound, fluffy poodle mix, and if you’re looking for an easygoing, confident puppy, I just might be the one for you!

I’m a happy-go-lucky guy, and there’s not much I don’t like. My absolute favorite things? Being close to my people, playing with my dog friends, and watching squirrels (I swear they taunt me!). I’m also an expert snuggler—I secretly wish I were a lap dog and will curl up next to you or my furry friends any chance I get. I have bursts of goofy puppy energy, but once I zoom it all out, I’m more than happy to settle down for some quiet time. My stuffed toys are my pride and joy, and I have a blast playing fetch or tossing them in the air like a pro. My foster family tells me I’m a sweet, gentle-natured boy, and I think they might be right!

My day starts with a potty break followed by breakfast, and then it’s time to head outside for some serious sniffing and, of course, squirrel patrol. Since my foster family works from home, I spend my day hanging out with them, playing with my furry friends, or entertaining myself with toys. Occasionally, I like to surprise my foster mom by launching into her lap during video calls—her work friends love me! In the evenings, I’m up for whatever you’ve got planned—walks, playtime, or working on my basic obedience (I’m a fast learner!). At the end of the day, you’ll find me sprawled out on the sofa, legs in the air, enjoying a well-earned pre-bedtime snooze. When it’s time for bed, I’ll happily settle into my kennel as long as it’s near my people.

Like any puppy, I still have some habits to work on. If something looks interesting, it’s probably going in my mouth—socks, shoes, ball caps, remote controls, your hands! I’m usually gentle, but my people tell me “no” a lot (I’m learning, I promise!). I’m also just tall enough to check out all the delicious smells on the kitchen counter, but I’m working on resisting temptation. Potty training? Easy! As long as I’m taken outside on a schedule, I know exactly what to do. I might be a little stubborn at times, but with patience and training, I’ll have my big-boy manners down in no time.

So, what do you think? Ready to add a lovable, happy-go-lucky fluffball to your family? I’d love to meet you!

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
- Another dog is preferred. I learn a lot from my furry siblings.
- No shared walls. I bark when I’m left alone.
- I enjoy being outside and would like a fenced yard so that I can go out whenever I want. I really enjoy some big zoomies. Bonus if there are trees and squirrels.
- My family needs to have a flexible schedule so I’m not alone for long periods of time.
- Patience for training and remember I’m still a puppy and need help to learn manners.

If you meet all of the requirements and live within 1,000 miles of Dallas/Fort Worth, TX, please apply at www.doodlerockrescue.org
