Hello! My name is Trooper, and I’m the most handsome 4-year-old Sheepadoodle you’ll ever meet! Weighing in at a solid 60 pounds, I’m a big, fluffy bundle of love, and I’m on a mission to find my forever home. My journey has been filled with ups and downs, but I’m ready to embark on new adventures with a family that appreciates my gentle spirit and playful nature.
When you first meet me, I might be a little shy, especially around men. But don’t let that fool you! I warm up quickly, and once I get to know you, I’ll be your loyal companion and best friend. I thrive on affection, so get ready for some serious cuddling on the couch! Nothing makes me happier than snuggling up next to my humans after a fun day of play.
One of my favorite activities is playing catch. Toss me that ball, and I’ll bring it back every single time! I’ve mastered the art of fetching and love showing off my skills. My playful spirit doesn’t stop there; I also enjoy spending time with my foster mom’s cat. She’s super fast and tricky to catch, but I have a blast trying! It’s all in good fun, and I love having a furry friend to keep me on my toes.
I walk pretty well with a harness, though I can get a bit excited when it’s time to go outside. My daily routine is pretty structured, which helps keep me calm. I typically sleep in my crate until around 8 or 8:30 a.m., and I’ll bark to let my foster mom know I’m awake and ready to start the day. After a quick potty break outside, it’s time for breakfast, which I always look forward to!
I have to go back into my crate for a couple of hours during the day when my foster mom leaves, and I can be a little anxious about that. I’ve learned to settle down and take a nap once she’s gone, especially with some yummy ham pieces to coax me inside. I’m also learning to handle my anxiety during car rides; I tend to bark quite a bit in the back seat, but I’m determined to improve.
If you’re looking for a loving friend who will fill your days with joy, I’m your guy! I can’t wait to find my forever home, where I can share all my love and cuddles. Are you ready to welcome a big, fluffy bundle of joy like me into your life?
Adoption Requirements:
- No Young Children: A home without kids under 6 is ideal for my comfort, as I can be a bit exuberant and might accidentally knock down smaller children.
- Spacious Living: I need a place with no apartments or shared walls to roam freely.
- Active Family with Fenced Yard: An active family with a secure, fenced yard is perfect for my playful nature.
- Work-From-Home Parent Preferred: I’d thrive with a parent at home or someone who can check in on me during the day.
- Patience for Training: I’m eager to learn, so I need someone patient to help me grow.
If you meet all of the requirements and live within 1,000 miles of Dallas/Fort Worth, TX, please apply at www.doodlerockrescue.org
Trooper is fully vaccinated, HW-, sterilized and microchipped.
