Hi, I’m Tripp! I’m a 1-year-old, 33-pound poodle mix, and I’ve got a whole lot of love to give—once I feel safe and secure. I’ve had a tough time learning to trust, so I need a family that’s patient and understanding. New people, especially men and children, make me pretty nervous. But don’t let that scare you off! When I warm up, I’m fiercely loyal and loving, especially with the ones I trust, like my foster family and furry siblings.

I do struggle with separation anxiety, so I really need someone who’s home often or can help me feel more comfortable when we’re apart. Crates? No thanks—they make me even more anxious. I’m much happier when I have space to feel free and safe. With time and gentle guidance, I know I can learn to be more confident and comfortable in new situations.

I absolutely love being outside—it’s one of my happy places. Whether it’s exploring the yard or just soaking up the sun, I feel most at ease when I’m in nature. I’m working on leash training, and while it can be a little scary, I’m making progress with every walk.

I’m looking for a calm, loving home where I can continue to grow and learn to trust. If you’re patient and kind and have a quiet environment where I can thrive, I’ll become your most loyal companion. Could you be the one to help me come out of my shell and find my forever happiness?

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must Have Another Dog Sibling: I thrive with furry friends to help build my confidence!
- No Children: A kid-free home is best since I’m scared of little ones.
- All-Female Household Preferred: I feel safest around women as I’m very nervous around men.
- Calm, Stable Environment: A peaceful home without shared walls or apartments is ideal for my comfort.
- Fenced-in Yard: I love to explore outside safely, so a yard to play in is essential.
- Work-from-Home Parent: I need someone around often to help with my anxiety and training.
- Patience for Training: I’m working on building trust, so understanding and patience are crucial.
