Meet Toby, a delightful male poodle weighing in at approximately 22 pounds. While his exact age remains a mystery—surrender records suggest 5 years, but the vet suspects he may be older—his foster parents assure us he's a timeless charmer. Described as the epitome of sweetness, Toby's gentle disposition makes him a beloved member of any household. His foster parents often marvel at his easygoing nature, remarking that he effortlessly integrates with both humans and furry companions alike.

Toby's personality is akin to a blooming flower; with each passing day, new layers of his character reveal themselves. While he may be a champion napper, he's no stranger to bursts of playful energy, especially when the prospect of outdoor adventures or leisurely walks arises. His excitement manifests in joyful barks, a testament to his zest for life. Despite his penchant for relaxation, Toby's playful side emerges from time to time, as he gleefully dashes around, embracing the simple joys of being alive.

At home, Toby seamlessly integrates into the daily routine. Mornings start with a leisurely awakening around 7 am, followed by outdoor explorations to survey the neighborhood. Breakfast is a shared affair, followed by another round of outdoor escapades. Yet, Toby's true joy lies in the cozy moments spent cuddled up on the couch, enveloped in his favorite blanket, as he drifts off into blissful slumber. While his days may seem lazy to some, Toby finds contentment in these serene moments, relishing in the comfort of his foster home.

However, Toby's journey hasn't been without challenges. Dental issues have plagued him, resulting in the recent removal of 16 teeth—an ordeal from which he's still recovering. Despite the setbacks, Toby's resilience shines through, and he faces each obstacle with unwavering determination. More dental surgery looms on the horizon, a daunting prospect that requires a supportive family willing to help him through the recovery process. Yet, despite the hardships, Toby remains undeterred, his spirit unbroken.

Adaptability is one of Toby's greatest strengths. Formerly prone to marking his territory indoors, he's since learned the rules of his foster home, becoming a model houseguest. Outdoors, he still enjoys leaving his scent on bushes and stone walls but responds promptly to gentle redirection from his foster parents. A good listener by nature, Toby eagerly follows commands, eager to please those around him.

In essence, Toby embodies the resilience and warmth that define the canine spirit. Despite life's obstacles, he greets each day with unwavering optimism, his heart brimming with love and his tail wagging with joy. With a little patience, a lot of love, and a willingness to embrace life's imperfections, Toby promises to be a loyal companion—a furry friend for life.
