Hello! My name is FeFe and although a lady should never tell her actual age, I’ll tell you—I’m 4 years old and I just KNOW I’m a pure Standard Poodle... or very close to it! Another secret? I weigh 59 1/2 lbs., although I don’t like to talk about that either.

I am very ladylike and sweet. There is absolutely nothing I like more than staring deeply into my foster dad's eyes and having my ears and neck scratched! I live with just one person and I bond very closely to that person but I think I could get used to having other calm people around, maybe even another dog or two if I’m introduced carefully. It takes me a little while to relax around other people and dogs but deep down I enjoy them. I don’t really care for very rambunctious dogs and people. I have to add that I’m actually quite afraid of men in hats, especially at night on the street. Something happened once that I don’t quite remember, but anyway it made me a little afraid.

I don’t mind getting my beauty sleep and sleeping in just a bit in the morning. But I do prefer to be outside for a quick walk before 8:30 AM. I get very bored if I don’t get to go outside a few times per day, but I don’t need to go far. I really just like to stretch my legs and take in the sights and smells. I usually eat a little bit of dry dog food twice a day and I don’t over eat so I don’t mind if you leave plenty of food in my bowl. I’ll just leave it alone until I’m hungry.

When I first came to my foster home, my foster dad brought me for walks and I was a little afraid of people and dogs. But he showed me that they are generally safe to greet so I am feeling much better about coming upon them when we go outside. I’m starting to look forward to it actually and I enjoy meeting other doggies that are not too aggressive. People are wonderful but I always feel I need to approach them slowly to make sure they’re pleasant.
