Hi, my name is Mulligan! I’m a 3-year-old Standard Poodle. When I came to DRR I was severely underweight and malnourished, you may remember my heartbreaking intake photos. 💔 Now I weigh 57lbs and and am as healthy as I am sweet! Oh, and my curly poodle coat doesn't shed!

Despite my past of neglect, I am the sweetest boy who loves every human! When it comes to play time, I'm a pro! I love playing and zooming around the yard! I hope you have kiddos because I love to have all the head rubs and attention! Because of my past, I need lots of love and attention. I love to sleep on the bed with my foster mom and will put my head on the pillow next to hers. If she moves, I will too, so I can be next to her.

My day starts when yours does. Sleep in or wake up early, I'm game! After a quick potty break, it's breakfast time. Once I eat, I need to potty again. During the day, I hang out with my foster fur brothers. We play, wrestle, and run around the yard until we get tired then hang out underneath my foster mom’s desk. After dinner, we let our bellies settle then play, play, play until it's bed time.

I am perfect on the leash and am potty trained, but I do have accidents if I get anxious, especially if I'm left alone. I do well in a crate but get nervous if I am left for longer than a few hours. I would do best with a family that has at least one parent at home most of the day. I am still working on basic commands and will come immediately when you call me. I also have learned that “no” means to stop whatever I am doing.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
- Dog sibling NOT required. If I have one, he/she must be on the submissive side and tolerant of me still learning social skills
- Stay-at-home parent(s)
- Fenced yard (small yard ok)
- Family with lots of time to give me the love and attention I deserve
