Hi, my name is Remington, AKA Remi. I’m a high-energy, 1.5-year-old male Labradoodle weighing almost 70 lbs with no shedding. I’m a very handsome boy who is a work in progress. I’ll need a family to put in the work on my continued training, and I’ll reward them with so much love!

I love to be entertained and will jump for hugs and kisses. Dogs, toys, bones, chew toys, and long walks keep me pretty active. When I don’t have one of these I get bored and find your shoes. I enjoy when my foster family takes me on long runs in the morning or to play at the dog park. I play nice with all dogs but don’t require a dog sibling. If I have one, he/she must be similar to my size (60+ lbs).

A typical day consists of good-morning scratches followed by that walk I mentioned. I even wait for you at the door to let you leash me. After my walk, I spend a lot of my day with mental stimulation rehearsing my commands. Doing this helps control my energy, and as a reward I get a big bone for quiet time. Evenings are meant for playtime to release any energy and nights are reserved for cuddles with the humans.

I’m still working on some leash skills since I do pull some. I can go in my crate for short periods of time but it’s not my favorite place. I could benefit from a structured household that has boundaries, so a dog experienced owner to reinforce good habits would be great! I’ve got my basic commands down, but need help with counter surfing and chewing. I have some anxiety but keeping my brain busy and having a dog sibling helps with that.

Here’s what I’m looking for:
-Calm household (over excitement heightens my anxiety/energy)
-No children under age 6 due to anxiety
-Very active family - long daily walks required 
-Fenced yard
-Dog sibling not required. If I have one, he/she must be over 60lbs
