Pedro‘s Story

Hola Senors and Senoritas,

Me llamo es Pedro. I was wandering around the streets of south Texas before I was surrendered to Doodle Rock. I’m about a year old and as you can see from my first pictures I was a mess! I’m not sure how long I was on my own, but my fur was outta control. I’ve been shaved down and you can see I have amazing markings. I am a 17 pound Adoradoodle (PoodleMix). My foster family says I could be named Foxy since my face does kinda resemble a fox. They say when my fur grows out (groomed of course) I will be soo handsome.

I was not potty trained but I am so close to getting the hang of this. Since I was outside most of my life how was I to know? Anyway my foster fam is proud of the progress I have made. I was only 16 pounds when I first came into foster care and I do love to eat! I think if I make it to 18 -20 pounds that will be best for a boy of my size. I’m respectful of the 3 doggy ladies in the house when I eat. I wait until I have finished my bowl before exploring to find out if they have left any food in their bowls. I love to play with them (one is twice my size and the other two are about my size) and I play with them all! I also enjoy exploring all the new smells and sounds in a house. I've learned to walk on a leash and sleep in a crate. I really don't like the crate for very long during the day since I do have puppy energy. But, if it is only for an hour or two I do great! Having other dogs or kids to play with would be amazing. I do like to jump - in fact, I can jump over the back of a couch! So, young kids under 3 may not appreciate my agility. I am looking for a family that has lots of love to give me to make up for the neglect I experienced in my young life. I adore people, dogs, and tummy rubs so I am looking forward to finding my permanent family and showing them all the love I have to give!
