Hi! My name is Shortcake, AKA Shorty! I'm a 2-year-old, 8lb, Toy Poodle. I came to Doodle Rock after being surrendered to our partner vet due to extensive injuries I incurred after getting hit by a car. Because it took me so long to be brought to the vet, my leg couldn’t be saved and had to be amputated. Every other part of me is perfect!

I'm the sweetest spunkiest gal who’s ready to steal your heart and demand the love that I know I deserve. I need about 1,000 pets and kisses a day to function at my prime, but don't worry, I'll repay you by keeping an eye on you to make sure you stay safe!

I usually wake up around 7am and go outside to do my thing. I then have breakfast in my crate because I like to eat half and save the rest for lunch, one could say that I’m a grazer. After that I usually try to play with my foster siblings, but they're old and not sure what to do. I may have 3 legs, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting to play or run up and down the stairs! I'm potty trained if you take me out regularly, but I’m still learning how to let you know I need go out. At night I sleep in my crate, but I wouldn't complain if you let me sleep with you!

If you stop petting me I’ll let you know that I want more. It’s been rumored that I think the world revolves around me, so my human must be willing to work with me as I learn. I am quite verbal at times, but I should be able to live my best life and do what I want even if that means trying to boss you around with my talking, right?

Anyways, can’t wait to see who my future cuddle partners are!

- Stay at home parent
- Calm home, preferably a house as I am verbal
- No children under 13
- No large dogs
