Hi. I’m Rusty, a 36-lb 1-year-old sweet and loving Goldendoodle!

I am very shy, but I am the BEST cuddler. I love to curl up to my foster family on the sofa or at their feet. When you first meet me, I can be skittish to loud noises, abrupt movements, or thresholds of a door, especially when going in and out of a crate. But, once I have time to acclimate, those issues slowly go away.

My foster mom loves how gentle I am with all humans and dogs and my soft kisses are the very best! At first, my foster family would keep me in a crate in the living room when they would go out and run errands or go out to dinner for the first week. But, soon after, I have had free roam of the entire house with my foster siblings when no one is home until dinner and bedtime. I have really good manners for being a puppy. I don’t chew things I’m not supposed to and am really good at asking to go outside, when I am in my crate, to do my business at night or early morning.

My routine consists of getting up every morning about 7am when I go outside to do my business and burn off some energy with my foster siblings. Afterwards, I have breakfast and then I sleep next to my foster mom and let my food settle. I go outside and play several times a day to play with my foster siblings or go for walks with my foster mom. People laugh when they see me bounce around the yard and I play “catch me if you can” with toys fairly often. I love having company and playing with other dogs and I follow in their footsteps.

As with any new dog, I am going to need additional training which will be GREAT FUN for me and you! I need a person or family who has patience to help me be the best dog I can be.
