Hello! My name is Bonaire, and I’m an 18-pound, 1-year-old poodle mix, ready to find my forever home! If you’re searching for a loving, loyal companion who’s always ready to snuggle, I’m your girl. My favorite place? Right on your lap or curled up beside you—I’m happiest when I’m close to my people!

I’m great in the car and would love to go on adventures with you. And when you’re relaxing, I’ll be right there on your feet or in your lap. I’m a little shy with loud noises and fast movements, so I’d prefer a calmer environment. I’ve met other dogs and kids and done well, but because I can be a little skittish, a home with children over 6 years old would be best for me. However, if the family already has a dog and the kids are used to being gentle with animals, I think I’d fit in just fine!

At night, I sleep soundly in my crate, and in the morning, I like to start my day with a potty break, breakfast, and a nice walk. Sometimes I need a little encouragement to get going on the walk, but once I do, I’m happy to explore! After that, I’m ready for a day of cuddling and hanging out with my people.

I have dinner around 7 p.m., followed by another short walk and one last potty break before bed. I’m still mastering potty training—sometimes I try to hold it for a bit too long, but with a good schedule and regular opportunities to go outside, I’m doing great.

One of my favorite quirks? I love to carry socks around the house! I don’t chew them; I just like having them with me. I also sometimes need a little extra encouragement to go through doors, but with patience, I get the hang of it.
