Hi I’m Birdie, a 22lb female Mini Labradoodle about 3 years old. I have a wavy golden/red coat and don’t shed!

I am a sweet tempered and mild-mannered lady who has learned to embrace the lap dog lifestyle. I can be pretty timid around new people, loud noises or movement. I need a calm household where I can relax and enjoy my new lifestyle.

Each morning I quietly wait in my kennel until my foster mom gets up around 8am. I love to sniff around the yard for a while before I do my business but then I will give you the funniest dance afterwards to thank you for waiting on me. I haven’t really learned to play with toys or other dogs, so most of my day consists of hanging out next to my foster mom or sleeping on the couch. I like having a foster fur sibling who helps keep me company. My kennel is my safe space so I like to have access all day if I need to feel safe. I eat my food in my kennel too so I have less distractions. After another long trip to the backyard, and then its bed time where I sleep in my foster parents room. I would like to sleep on your bed but the kennel is second best.

Because of my background, I am still working on my confidence and anxiety. I feel safest at home but I’m sure if someone is patient with me I may be up for walks on a leash eventually. I need a CALM household where I can learn to trust fully.
