Release Of Liability

This release of liability document is issued by Doodle Rock Rescue, a nonprofit animal welfare organization, to outline terms and conditions related to temperament testing conducted by volunteers.

Temperament Testing Provisions: Doodle Rock Rescue is dedicated to the welfare and well-being of dogs in need, striving to provide them with safe and loving environments. As part of our mission, volunteers play a crucial role in assessing the behavior and temperament of dogs to ensure suitable placements. In recognition of the importance of safety during temperament testing, Doodle Rock Rescue includes the following provisions in the release of liability:

Proper Judgment: Volunteers engaged in temperament testing are entrusted with the responsibility of exercising discernment throughout the assessment process. Should a dog display any alarming behaviors, such as stiffening, growling, baring teeth, or lunging, it is imperative that the volunteer does not take possession of the dog.
Release of Liability: During temperament testing, should a volunteer or their personal dog be harmed in any way, Doodle Rock Rescue releases any liability.

By signing this release of liability document, volunteers acknowledge and accept these additional terms and conditions.

Volunteers agree to indemnify and hold harmless Doodle Rock Rescue, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, demands, or actions arising out of or related to their involvement in temperament testing activities, including but not limited to injuries to themselves, their personal dogs, or any other incidents occurring during the testing process.

This release of liability is effective immediately upon signing and shall remain in effect indefinitely.

Volunteers are encouraged to seek legal advice before signing this document. By signing below, volunteers indicate their understanding and agreement to the terms outlined herein.

Volunteer Provisions: Doodle Rock Rescue is dedicated to the welfare and well-being of dogs in need, and volunteers play a crucial role in providing temporary homes for dogs awaiting adoption. In recognition of the complexities involved in volunteering with the dogs, Doodle Rock Rescue includes the following provisions in the release of liability:

Personal Item Damage: Doodle Rock Rescue shall not be responsible for any personal items that may be damaged while a dog is in the care of a volunteer.
Dog History and Behavior: Doodle Rock Rescue does not always have access to the complete history of the dogs in our care and cannot guarantee their behavior, including their suitability around children. It is imperative that volunteers exercise caution and proper judgment to ensure the safety of children and other individuals.
Child Safety: Volunteers acknowledge the importance of keeping children away from harm by properly introducing them to the dogs and by not allowing children to invade the dog's personal space. In the event of injury to a child, Doodle Rock Rescue releases any liability.
Proper Introductions: It is the responsibility of the volunteer to properly introduce new people to the dog and to use proper judgment in these introductions. Doodle Rock Rescue releases liability should others be harmed by the dog while in their care.
