My name is Empanada, and I am a 5-month-old female poodle mix, weighing 18 lbs and growing every day! I'm a lovable and friendly pup who absolutely adores playing. Let me tell you a bit about myself because I’m on the lookout for my forever home, and maybe it’s with you!

My favorite thing to do is take my toys out to the backyard and play. I can spend hours out there, running around with my favorite ball or squeaky toy. The sun feels amazing on my fur, and I love to sunbathe whenever I get the chance. Playing fetch with my foster family is a blast, and I never seem to get tired of it. I'm a bit of a girlie girl who enjoys cuddling with my human fosters, but I also have a tomboy streak! Chasing after frogs and crickets is so much fun, and I can get pretty dirty doing it. Being a puppy, I’m still getting used to grooming and baths. They aren’t my favorite activities, but I’m trying to be brave. I do shed some, so my foster family brushes me regularly, and I’m starting to enjoy it more and more each time.

I’m an early riser, just like my foster family. I prefer to have my first potty break when they get up for work. Thanks to my consistent potty break schedule, I have minimal accidents in the house, which makes everyone happy. When it’s time to rest, I don’t mind going into my crate, but at my age, I prefer interaction with my fosters. Playing and being with my people is just the best!

Walking on a leash is something I’m still getting used to. I don’t like my collar and leash very much, so my foster family uses a harness, which makes me feel less anxious. I have a lot of energy and would be great with children of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers. I’d also get along well with other dogs who can match my energy level. However, I might be a bit too much for senior or medically fragile dogs, so it’s probably best if they have a quieter home.

The perfect family for me would have a large, fenced yard where I can run and play to my heart’s content. If you have a doggy door, I would be in absolute heaven! Despite my angelic face, I can be a bit mischievous, so you might want to keep socks and shoes out of my reach. I’m still learning what’s okay to chew on and what’s not, but I promise I’m a fast learner!

In the end, all I want is a family to call my own, where I can grow, play, and be loved. I can’t wait to meet you and show you just how sweet and playful I am.
