My name is Lewis, and I’m a 2 year old male Standard Poodle. I am around 60 pounds of pure love! I am an easy going, attentive boy who LOVES the outdoors! I like to lay around and be lazy most of the time, but I am very curious and love to explore, especially outside. I really love humans, including kids, and I’m learning that dog friends are really cool too! I love to cuddle! I am doing good on my leash, especially if you like to run. I’ve also learned how to use a crate, and I find that it’s a really nice place to relax by myself. I sleep through the night, and wake up ready to eat and play with my foster brother around 7am. We like to play on and off for a few hours before taking a nap and having some afternoon free time. I don’t require a walk every day, but am always eager to go if that’s an option. Then we have dinner and play some more before going to bed around 10:30pm.

My foster mom says I’m doing really well on my leash, but I could still improve by not crossing in front of her to smell new things! Also, I’m still working on commands, like “sit” and “stay” but I do understand to come to my foster mom when called or “stop” if I’m doing something I’m not supposed to. I sometimes jump when greeting you so I’m working on keeping all 4 feet on the floor. I also need help figuring out which toys belong to the kids and not me!
